J. Romero Howell is the pseudonym of a Pacific Northwest high school Language Arts teacher, author, poet, and digital curator. His work braids gothic western myth, poetry, solo roleplaying, and immersive virtual worldbuilding. He is the creator of The Aviary of St. Axel MacPherson, a 3D digital poetry exhibit and limited edition handmade dos-à-dos chapbook paired with Befriend a Murder of Crows. He is also the author of the forthcoming Songs of Aerthe multi-genre series, beginning with Mothers Keep: Songs of Aerthe, a solo journaling roleplaying game and interactive virtual world exhibit supported by the Second Life Endowment for the Arts.
